ok so. john's obviously a seasoned soldier. he does some really insane shit, paying little mind to danger and even laws. big brave man, B BUT hes so completely helpless when it comes to arguing with people the respects and cares for.

with farah, even when she basically ignores his RIGHTFUL worries about working with a WAR CRIMINAL THAT TRIED TO KILL HIM AND HIS TEAM, he just lets her end the convo. just like that. without her providing any actual arguments and being shady as shit.

and with laswell, when she was insisting on tf104 working with the man, who ORDERED THE AFORMENTIONED WAR CRIMINAL TO KILL THEM, he just pouts and gives like ONE line of weak pushback and a pout before giving in. there are a lot of such instances, but these are the two big/obvious examples. its his soft spot. he loves. he just loves so much:""""(

in the mission where theyre rescuing (and rightfully bullying) shepherd, HE LOOKS SO GIDDY and SWISH SWOOSH SWISH SWOOSH LIKE A PITBULL WAITING TO MAUL A KID he even talks over kate in a hurried, excited tone like he want to rub shepherd's humilation in. OH GODD what a beautiful man
